October 31 - November 2:  Virginia Horse Trials
The Virginia Horse Trials, an abbreviated version of a three-day eventing competition, draws several hundred eventing riders from around the country.

October 31 - November 2:  Golden National Horse Show

Palomino Horses from around the country will compete in a wide range of Halter, Color, and Performance Classes. All Breed added money, Reining and Western Pleasure.

November 7 - 9:  Southwest Virginia Hunter-Jumper Association Medal Finals
Hundreds of horses and riders from Virginia and surrounding states, as well as collegiate teams from around the state, will compete during the three-day hunter and jumper show.

November 9:  Special Olympics Equestrian Event
Hoofbeats Therapeutic Riding Center and the Virginia Horse Center invite you to join us for the Special Olympics Equestrian Event this year. The following classes will be offered: English and Western Equitation, Working Trails, Dressage, Showmanship at Halter/Bridle, Musical Kur Exhibition, and Pole Bending. A social gathering for the athletes and coaches is planned for those who come the night before.

November 11: Old Time Music Jam - LIVE from the Work Horse Cafe
Mountain music jam session honoring our mountain heritage. Musicians welcome to play and audience encouraged to dance and sing along. Concessions available. Sessions held the 2nd Tuesday of each month starting at 6pm.
Location: Anderson Coliseum, Work Horse Cafe.
 

November 14 - 16:  Virginia Horse Shows Assoc. Associates'  Championship Show
Hundreds of horses and riders, representing the top of their divisions, will come from around the state to compete in three days of hunter and jumper championship competition.
