The Hunter's Raid reenactment site two miles north of Lexington is the actual ground where local militia and Virginia Military Institute cadets camped and met General Hunter's forces as they advanced on Lexington.  Proceeds from this event will help preserve this historic ground and further the mission of the Virginia Horse Center.
