"The Virginia Horse Center is a remarkable resource. It began because there was a need and it has grown trememdously in the last 25 years to be the best comprehensive facility in the state. If you value the Virginia Horse Center, support it." - Joe Fargis, Olympic rider & trainer
Annual Fund - Our fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30 and we solicit funds twice during the year to assist with operating, programmatic, and capital expenses. Gifts can be made in memory of beloved animals or family members as well. Click here for more information about our most recent campaign. Make a donation online on our Razoo fundraising page.
Lighting Campaign - These funds are designated for a new, energy-efficient lighting system in the Coliseum, saving 20% a year in energy costs while tripling the amount of light in Waldron Arena. With a lead gift and several contibutions, we are 50% of the way to our goal--please help us fill the gap.
Planned Giving - The VHCF Legacy Society accepts assets such as cash, securities, real estate, personal property, bequests, retirement plan assets or life insurance cash value. We have partnered with the Community Foundation of Rockbridge, Bath and Alleghany to structure endowment gifts through the latest financial vehicles--from donor-advised funds to CRTs to scholarships.
Naming Opportunities - This is a gift that will be seen and remembered for years to come. We are happy to submit a proposal to your family, foundation, business, or farm for naming rights at our facility including barns, arenas, and trails. Dedicate a stall with an engraved metal nameplate for a gift of $1,000 or more.
Matching Funds - Does your employer match charitable contributions? Your gift will make twice the impact by registering with your employer's matching fund program. Be sure to let us know in advance so that we can properly recognize your gift.
“The road to Atlanta (1996 Olympics) passed right through the Virginia Horse Center. Thank you for a wonderful facility to prepare horses and riders for our future.”
-Karen O’Connor, 1996 United States Equestrian Team
