Knowledge of horses and equine industry preferable. Individual must possess strong leadership skills and be able to interact well with clients and exhibitors. Manager, Sponsorships & Advertising
Non-profit foundation looking for an individual who will be responsible for sponsorships and advertising including aggressive client solicitation, signage, and corporate sponsorships as well as other sales opportunities both locally and nationally. Will be required to assist with the development and cultivation of special events relating to fundraising, sponsorships and/or sales opportunities. Must possess the ability to initiate, prepare and write contracts. Must be computer literate and have full knowledge of computer applications. Individual must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and be able to multi-task. May need to work some weekends or evenings. Must be flexible. Full Time Barn Crew/Equipment Operators
Looking for hard-working individuals to join Barn Crew. Responsibilities include maintaining facility in preparation for horse shows, deliver bedding to exhibitors, perform minor maintenance as needed in a fast paced environment. Must have equipment experience with tractors, Bobcat, skidsteer, and mowers. Must be able to lift heavy items and willing to work rotating shifts including weekends. Pay starts at $9/hour. Good communication skills and the ability to interact well with people are required. Part-Time Security Staff
Looking for individuals to assist the Chief of Security in overseeing VHC property at all times during show move-ins, during shows and any time there are horses on the grounds, patrolling barns at night, checking on horses, directing cars, trucks & trailers as they arrive and park, communicate with exhibitors & VHC staff to ensure safety of exhibitors, attendees and horses. The VHCF has many volunteer opportunities which provide proximity to our great events, worthwhile experience, and a fun atmosphere. Our volunteer opportunities are categorized in four areas but we are always looking for great partners of all talents.
Communications – Ensures all constituents and the community receive information in a timely manner. Tasks may include newsletter assembly, putting up flyers, story research and writing.
Good Will Ambassador – Provides walking customer service to visitors/exhibitors during events, improving overall experiences and satisfaction with the facility and staff. Tasks may include stocking brochures, coupon packs, checking TV screen advertisements and taking on-site feedback from visitors.
Administrative Greeter – Welcomes visitors to the VHCF offices (via walk-in, telephone, or computer) and helps them with requests. Tasks may include routing calls, customer service and routine office tasks.
Show Host - Assists with event management during VHCF owned shows. Tasks may include handing out ribbons, polishing trophies, acting as a runner for show managers, providing customer service for participants and their families.
